Italian Sausage & Peppers On The BBQ

Very Tasty Anyway They're Cooked

Ingredients

  • 4-6 links of good Italian  sausage (hot or mild)
  • Long rolls in you wish
  • 1-2 onions sliced and separated
  • Green peppers sliced into strips
  • Marinated red peppers
  • Mushrooms (optional)
  • Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

Sautee white onions and green peppers, later add marinated red peppers to the mix.   BBQ good Italian deli bought sausage at approx. 300 degrees turning them as they grill.  Using long buns,(if you wish) scoop the excess bread out then fill the buns with the sauteed veggies & sausage. Top it with mozzarella cheese. Bake in the oven at the broil position until the cheese melts and the bread browns. Watch very carefully so as not to burn, enjoy!

    Notes

    A sausage and pepper sub sandwich is a classic or just to have as a side on a plate but if you’re using a bun, our Italian sandwich made with a long, crusty bread roll, filled with Italian sausage, grilled sweet peppers and onions.  Serve it with a side of marinara sauce. This delicious sandwich is sure to be a hit with Family & Friends!
