Vito’s Bolognese Pasta
Ingredients
- 3 cloves garlic
- Approx. ½ stick butter
- 3T olive oil
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped carrots
- 1 cup chopped mushrooms
- 1lb. ground beef
- 1 6 oz can tomato paste
- 1 T sugar (optional)
Instructions
Add tomato paste and 1 to 2 cans water as desire32oz can chopped/diced tomatoes¾pound Vermicelli Pasta Salt & pepper
Cook these vegetables and the meat together to make a rich mouth-watering ragu (meat sauce). Bolognese sauce known in Italian as ragù allabolognese or ragù, is a meat-based sauce which has its origins in Bologna, Italy. It is commonly used as a sauce with the tagliatelle, a traditional pasta from the Emilia-Romagna and Marche regions of Italy and to prepare 'lasagne all bolognese.

Our family loves Bolognese pasta which is a popular dish throughout Italy and beyond. It is often served with a variety of different types of pasta, from spaghetti to lasagna. The sauce can also be used to top pizzas or as a filling for ravioli and cannelloni.
